At Friends of Bellevue (FOB), we believe every donation is a gift of trust. We take that responsibility seriously.
We understand why some people are skeptical of charities. Stories about excessive overhead, high executive salaries, and wasted donations have caused many donors to ask an important question:
How much of my donation actually helps people?
Our answer is simple. FOB was founded on the principle of maximizing charitable impact while minimizing administrative costs.
Administrative expenses will remain below 10%
Those expenses are limited to the essential costs required to operate a compliant 501(c)(3) public charity, including accounting, insurance, banking, payment processing, website maintenance, tax filings, and other necessary operating expenses.
Our Board of Directors serves as volunteers
No member of the Friends of Bellevue Board of Directors receives a salary, wage, stipend, or other compensation for serving on the Board.
Transparency and accountability
We are committed to being responsible stewards of every dollar entrusted to us. Our donors deserve honesty, transparency, and accountability, and those values guide every decision we make.
Every Charity Has Operating Costs
No legitimate nonprofit can operate without some administrative expenses. The real measure of a charity is not whether those costs exist, but whether they are kept reasonable, transparent, and focused on maximizing the mission.
At Friends of Bellevue, our goal is simple

- Direct more than 90% of our resources toward charitable programs and community impact.
